Print Your Own Lampshade Workshop
Create a unique piece of functional art for your home and learn skills that will last a lifetime.
In this full day workshop you will begin by using lino printing to design and print your own fabric with Printmaker Lizzie Ault. After a refreshing lunch courtesy of Mandy from Sneaky Veg Kitchen you will then learn the art of lampshade making with Katherine Scantlebury.
No experience needed, we will cover the basics of both lino printing and lampshade making. You will carve one simple design to use in repeat on calico fabric. Then, after a lunch break you will learn how to make a simple 20cm or 30cm, drum-shaped lampshade.
