Plesiosaur, Giclée print by Lizzie Ault

£27.00

Giclée print on archival quality paper, 10” x 10”

From an original digital illustration by Lizzie Ault

During the Jurassic period much of the UK would have been under the ocean. That’s why marine fossils are more commonly found here. Long-necked Plesiosaurs would have shared the waters with belemnites, a kind of ancient squid and ammonites - the ubiquitous spiral-shaped fossil.

The discovery of Plesiosaur skeletons before the dawn of Paleontology may have led to belief in sea monsters.
