6 week Lino Evening Class - Starts September 10th
A 6 week course allowing you to immerse yourself in the art of lino printing.
10th September 2026 - 14th October inclusive
Thursdays 7pm - 9pm
Centre E, 24 Barton Rd, Ely, CB7 4DE, room 3 - access is via the side door at the front of Centre E
What to expect
Students are invited to take the course entirely at their own pace and in their own direction. This isn’t about rushing to finished pieces, it’s about immersing yourself in your craft, learning through doing, and letting ideas develop at a natural pace.
We will cover:
Carving lino: tools, techniques and types of lino
Printing with a press
Printing with a barren
Single colour printing
Jigsaw, multicolour printing
Reduction, multicolour printing
Multi block, multicolour printing
There will be:
an experienced tutor on hand for guidance and support
access to a press, inks, and shared equipment
time to experiment, refine techniques, and build confidence
a small group of like-minded people working alongside each other

A selection of inks
Printing Paper
Your first two lino blocks
All cutting tools
A selection of imagery to work from if needed
This is perfect if you’re looking for:
regular, protected creative time
a supportive studio environment
space to deepen your lino printing practice
Time to develop skills at your own pace
