Whittlesea Straw Bear Festival 2026: Photos and sketches from the day
Whittlesea Straw Bear Festival has been on my bucket list for years and it didn’t disappoint. A little bit of research went a long way to making sure we got the best experience on the day. The website provides directions to a fantastic car park and lets you know times for the parades.
I adored the sense of pride, theatre and performance brought by the event organisers and both the visiting and local morris sides. The costumes were quirky and wonderful and evoked a feeling of community and resourcefulness. What a special and unique event to have just up the road.
I’m hoping to build on the inspiration I’ve gained from this event so watch this space…
